Mission Statement

We, the alumni of PMCH pledge support to eligible candidates to achieve the American dream.

Who are WE?

Graduates from PMCH during the years 1995-1997 now settled in US. Despite coming from different batches we all wanted to pursue our further training in US. We have gone through a formal residency and fellowship training. Now all of us have a successful practice in various cities.

What is our PURPOSE?

We went to Bangkok, Thailand to take our USMLE step 1 in 1994. Going to US seemed a distant dream, costly with complete lack of awareness in the medical campus. It was projected as a difficult process and no details were available regarding books, residency application or life thereafter. Despite the presence of local USMLE exam centers, KAPLAN coaching much of it remains unchanged and presence of PMCH graduates in US is bare.

We are interested in providing a support system to help candidates interested in pursuing US training and to increase the awareness in our campus. We have chosen to start the process by supporting a willing candidate financially by covering the cost of CSA and US travel.

What are we OFFERING?

We will pay for the cost of CSA exam and a round trip ticket to take the exam.

Who is ELIGIBLE?

  • Must have completed medical school from Patna Medical College, PATNA INDIA.
  • Transfer candidates into PMCH during the final MBBS are also eligible.
  • Must have completed and passed both USMLE step 1 and 2.
  • Most recent exam (whether step 1 or step 2) has to be within two years of application.
  • Must be a Citizen of India.
  • Application through our program cannot be more than twice.

What is the PROCESS?

We ask you to fill the form available online. We intend to select the candidate with the best combined USMLE step 1 and 2 score. Selection process will be purely done on the basis of USMLE performance.

All application must be submitted by 30st June. The selected candidate will be informed by mail by 15th July. We have chosen this timeline to assist the candidates streamline their CSA exam and interview process for residency program. We will retain the right to chose or refuse an application.

The selected CANDIDATE?

All the credentials in the application will be verified by our independent source. We will inspect and verify your Medical college Diploma or proof of attendee at Patna Medical college and Date of Birth. Candidate will be asked to allow ECFMG to send their USMLE transcripts directly to us.

After verification of eligibility criteria and review of USMLE score we will ask the candidate's CSA form to be mailed to us. We will pay for the CSA and submit the form. When CSA dates are confirmed by the ECFMG, we will mail a roundtrip trip economy class airfare from INDIA to US directly to the candidate. This process is independent of visa requirement. In the event US VISA is denied, the candidate will retain the tickets.
